>> It's for you, Chair. Um yeah, I just
have the uh I have a memorandum that I'd
like the committee to review um for the
end of term presentation.
Um let me just pull it up. I'll share
the screen.
Zoom in a little bit here. So, um I'll
have the committee give this a a review.
This is really just um
uh uh compiling all of the the feedback
that was received um from from the
committee. So, some accomplishments from
the term include
providing governance and policy
oversight through the review and
recommendation of corporate policies,
bylaws, and strategic initiatives um
including things like the branding
project, records retention bylaw,
private property parking bylaw, open air
fire bylaw, municipal election policies,
and the delegation of council authority
bylaw.
Um enhancing council's understanding of
municipal operations. Um basically the
committee did receive updates across all
uh departments that reported to this
committee specifically.
Um maintained and engaged in uh
and engaged and effe- efficient
committee structure throughout the term
with strong attendance and
participation. Um holding meetings
during regular business hours to improve
efficiency and minimize overtime costs
for staff and committee members.
And then some future opportunities
that's come up for next term
including uh reviewing the committee's
governance and reporting structure to
identify opportunities for streamlining
decision-making processes, including
evaluating whether certain matters could
be considered directly to council or by
council.
Strengthen engagement and knowledge
sharing across the organization by
encouraging greater participation from
staff at all levels um and providing
opportunities for advisory committees
that report through this committee to
present updates and answer questions um
engage directly with the standing
committee.
Maintain an effective and focused forum
by corporate services matters by
continuing to
assess the committee's composition and
meeting structure, ensuring discussions
can appropriately address operational,
administrative, and potentially
sensitive matters while supporting
informed decision-making.
And then following [clears throat] your
view and comment on the notes above,
they'll be incorporated into the chair's
remarks that will be delivered by
Councillor Frake to council at their
July 13th meeting.
So, um the format here is the um we'll
include the layout um of the committee's
mandate from the terms of reference,
accomplishments, future opportunities,
and acknowledging committee members and
department staff.
Um if anyone has any questions, please
>> Thank you, Katie. Any other questions or
comments?
