The city of London is also committed to making every effort to provide alternate formats and communication supports for meetings upon request. And to make a request specific to this meeting, please contact J Gomez, that's J O M E Zondon.ca CA or phone 519-661-2489 extension2425. Uh I'll note that we've got councilors Mallister, Cuddy, and Hillyard joining us online and uh the balance of the committee is in uh committee room number five for this meeting. Look for any disclosures of caring interest. Seeing none, uh we have no consent items today. We have uh items for discussion uh and we have a related confidential item for discussion. Uh so I'm a bit in your hands uh committee as to how we want to proceed. Um the item for discussion 3.1 is the memo um from the council resourcing review task force uh that was forwarded forwarded to us via SPC and council and then we have in confidential an item that was deferred from earlier this year where the discussion was incomplete uh at the time the the working group had to adjourn. So, I'm looking to committee to see if anyone has a suggestion as to how they would like to proceed uh in dealing with these items. If we want to go in camera first or whether we want to deal with the public item first. Councelor Hopkins. Yeah, I don't know if you need that, but I would prefer going in camera first. Sorry, I think I cut you off. They're trying to turn off my I would prefer going in camera uh first. I know staff are here, so might as well take advantage of them. Okay. And I see a seconder in council pribble. Uh so we've got a motion uh that will change the order to deal with the confidential item first. Uh I'm going to just see if there's any objection to the change of order. If not, we're going to just deem that as consensus. So, we're deeming that as consensus support uh for the change of order. So, now we have a motion from councelor Hopkins and Pribble to move into close session. Uh looking I'm just going to call the vote on that. All in favor? Yes. And that carries. So, give us a moment. Uh we're going to ask Mr. Molton to leave the room and uh once we're ready to proceed, we can start with our inc camera session. Okay. So, uh, two steps. Councelor Frank, can you report out from close session? Yes. I'm pleased to say that progress has been made for the purposes for which we went in camera 4. And then we have a matter on the public agenda. Councelor Ferrer, you're prepared to refer that? Hey, I'll refer the um the public report uh to a future meeting of governance working group or uh to civic administration to administration as it relates to the item that was in camera. As it relates to the item in camera, yes, I'll move that referral and councelor Hopkins is willing to second. Any discussion on the referral? Seeing none, I'll call the question. All those in favor? Cy votes yes. Seeing uh that's unanimous. That carries. And then I'll look for councelor Stevenson. Uh deferred matters. Oh yes. We need to move the deferred matters list. I have an amendment I want to move to it. Okay. We have four minutes before we have to leave the room. So, I just want an amendment that asks uh directs civic administration to provide uh number one, which is the uh current tenant policies as of July 2025 to council via email. Um, and I believe the rest of it's going to come on the next GWG report, but I'd like the current policies uh sent to council via email. There's no work required. It's just give us what's currently there. We passed this last July and I need it for some things that I'm working on. Okay. Is there a second for that? Yes. Repeat the Sorry. The clerk just needs you to repeat the motion that civic administration be directed to uh distribute number one a uh sorry uh yeah deferred matters item number one to council via email prior to it being um on the GWG agend future agenda. Oh, sorry. So I by C I'd like it distributed to council prior to March 3rd. Prior to council just for information. Yeah. And then we can talk about it in the next GWG if somebody wants to. But I just need the direction fulfilled. Okay. Is there a second for that? Councelor Hopkins. Any discussion? Seeing none, all those in favor and any opposed? Any votes? Yes. Sorry. Thank you. Uh Miss Corman, your hand is up. Sorry. Uh just with respect to that direction, this this GWG report will actually be going to the next SPPC to which then it will go to council in March. So that would be where the direction would come from. Uh well, it's already been passed by council to to give it to like the it's a deferred matters that says civic administration be requested to Oh, it says report back. But but we are we not able to we just passed a motion saying that it'll be distributed by email by March 3rd. I don't see that stops this from going ahead. So, I think what Miss Corman is saying is this we can't direct staff directly from this working group. Um, it has to go through a and I see the clerk nodding in the back that it has to go through a a report out at SPC and then approval of council. So there's no way to direct staff to provide this for next Tuesday because this governance working group doesn't fall on the report cycle until uh middle of March is council meeting. Okay. Well, I guess I just need to know a question through you to staff then as to why when this was passed last July and there's no work involved. It's just allow us to see the current tenant policies. why I can't get access to them in time to do the work that I need to do for the March committees. I'd just like to understand why I can't have that. I can't answer that. The housing you staff um and because it would require the the report back comes here and then to SPC and then to council. Um, so it's a process thing that that doesn't prohibit you counselor from asking the city manager if you can get that information um for next week's council. It just is wouldn't be a direction from GWG. What what the clerk has flagged for me is that the motion we just passed on the amendment is or on the deferred matters is out of order. Okay, I understand. Um, so with that um feedback from the clerk, we'll have to strike that last vote. It's out of order. Um so that just leaves us to um uh adjurnn. So looking for a motion, councelor Hopkins, councelor Frank. All those in favor and that carries. We're adjourned.
